FinLab users may request deletion of their FinLab account and associated personal information.

FinLab is operated by Unnayan Educational Services Pvt. Ltd. under its CforCommerce educational initiative.

How to Request Account Deletion

Option 1: Through the FinLab App

If the account-deletion option is available for your account, open FinLab and go to:

Profile / Account → Account Settings → Delete Account

Follow the instructions displayed in the application.

Option 2: Submit a Request Through This Website

If you cannot access your account, or if your account is administered by a school, Lab Administrator or programme authority, you may submit an account and data deletion request through this page.

What Happens After You Submit a Request?

After receiving a deletion request, we may contact you to verify:

• Your identity;

• The FinLab account concerned;

• Your authority to make the request, where the request relates to another person; or

• The relevant school, institution or programme details.

This helps us protect FinLab users from unauthorised deletion requests.

Student Accounts Created by Lab Administrators

Some student accounts are created or administered by an authorised Lab Administrator rather than directly by the student.

Where a deletion request relates to such an account, FinLab may verify the request and, where appropriate, coordinate with the relevant school, Lab Administrator, district programme or authorised institution before completing the request.

Where parental or guardian authority needs to be verified, we may request reasonable information necessary to establish that authority.

What Information Will Be Deleted?

Subject to verification and applicable retention requirements, deletion of a FinLab account may include deletion of personal information associated with the account, such as:

• Name and account details

• Contact details

• School and class information

• Age/date-of-birth information

• Gender information

• Attendance information

• Learning and module progress

• Assessment information

• Certificate-related account information

• Other personal information associated with the FinLab account

Information That May Need to Be Retained

Certain information may be retained where reasonably necessary for:

• Compliance with applicable law;

• Security and prevention of misuse;

• Resolving disputes or grievances;

• Certification or certificate verification;

• Authorised programme records;

• Contractual or institutional requirements; or

• Other legitimate retention requirements.

Where information no longer needs to identify the individual, it may also be anonymised or aggregated instead of being retained in personally identifiable form.

Effect of Account Deletion

Deletion of your FinLab account may result in loss of access to:

• Learning history

• Attendance records available through the account

• Module progress

• Assessment history

• Certificates accessible through the account

• Other FinLab services associated with the account

Account deletion may not be reversible once completed.
